Basement Remodel

A large house with an unfinished basement - a blank canvas on which to work some magic. The unfinished garage was transformed into a family/guest room and full bathroom. Glass bricks were used to admit light into the spaces yet ensure privacy. Wainscoting, maple built in cabinets and desk, and crown molding throughout add an elegance to the new spaces. The rough stair down from the first floor was replaced by a classic finished stair system which terminates in a small anteroom connected to the family/guest room by multi-paned French doors. To complete the improvements, the main kitchen was fully upgraded and redone.
