The Enman's Furriers building in downtown Asheville hails back to the glory days of the city. It fronts on Battery Park Avenue and also has frontage on Wall Street.
Numerous businesses have called this building home through the years. Today, Kilwin's confectionary serves fudge, ice cream, and other sweet treats on Battery Park Avenue; Appalachian Naturals provides fine soaps and skin care on the Wall Street level.
The upper floors have housed several types of businesses - an event planner; the Captain's Bookshelf fine books store; and a women's clothing store.
A unique feature of this building is the two-story space at the rear, connecting the second and third floors.
We have helped the owner through the years. Several years ago it was developing the specifications for a new roof. Most recently Jane has done an analysis of the building codes to determine the best use of the upper floors.
