The owners of the Norwood Park Cottage renovation had a lot in I'On, a New Urbanist community in Mount Pleasant, SC.
A very peculiar lot.
Because they love the Arts & Crafts era they asked Jane to design a new house in the style of famed California architects Greene & Greene, designers of the 1907 Gamble House in Pasadena.
The design she came up with used every bit of the property and honors Greene & Greene with its shingle siding, exposed structural framing and projecting rafter tails.
Sadly, the owners' life took them elsewhere before they could realize their dream.
